This summer, Emma Bowen Foundation Fellow Patience Carter was seriously injured during the mass shooting at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida and lost a close friend during the attack. In the wake of this tragedy, the entire EBF family, including her sponsor company, Fox 29 Philadelphia, came together to help. Over 50 Emma Bowen Foundation fellows, alumni, corporate partners, and friends raised more than $5,000 to help her as she recuperates, and the EBF alumni association gave Patience a writing journal to support her ongoing recovery.
We thank everyone who contributed to the Patience Carter Fund. Your good wishes and support are helping to lift Patience's spirits as she moves forward after this senseless act.
